hardy Osteospermums

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

For all of you who grow hardy Osteospermums and don't know the name of the plant I have just created a guide. The scans show the petals in close-up to show the differences in the upper and lower side of the petals.

here is the link where you will find the petals at the bottom of the photo album

My osteopernums look as though they're dying back. Dying off? Even if they're tender they shouldn't be dying back now should they? Planted just a few weeks ago. They also look like the spoon-shaped ones, e,g, Whirligig. Not like the ones you've posted. It's possible that they're intended just for bedding?

yes the Whirlygig types are only for bedding. The reason it is dying is it's been forced to flower and has run out of steam. I actually bought 2 plants, stoopid mistake, which are already on the way out. I suggest you cut it back to about 6 inches of the ground and give it a good feed.
