What is this stuff?

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

I can't kill it, it seems to thrive on roundup, I bought a killer specifically for nutgrasses and that didn't phase it... HELP... it's choking one of my beds.

It sends underground runners, it can creep up between anything, and is difficult to pull out.

Looks like Bermuda grass to me. It is grown as a lawn.

bermuda grass was my guess

What % of roundup are you using? Ive used roundup successfully many times.

I make it (roundup) by the quart, whatever it says on the bottle.
The weed stuff I got was supposed to kill bermuda grass too, and didn't phase it.

This stuff is grown as lawns??

Yup, I have it and loath it. I asked the builders not to put it in, but they said it wasn't my house until they were totally finished and they couldn't 'sell' it until it had a lawn. lol

Bermuda grass is lovely. This is a old picture of my backyard. Grass by the roundpen grows so dense, it chokes up the lawnmower!

That is very nice Osteole, but I didn't plant it, and I don't want it in my flower beds!!! Yikes. Gonna mix up some more roundup and try it again.

Melissa, I also have Bermuda grass and it's a pain. I keep the edges of my flower beds sprayed to keep it out of my beds. It's a never ending job. I spray the grass and it turns brown but the least bit of water and it turns green again and it seems like the runners on it go forever. I wish you luck fighting it.
