Our valley has an infestation of bark scorpions, after living here for 25 plus years I am finally a bit afraid of local wildlife. Our native brown scorpions are nasty but not likely to kill you. We have found several bark scorpions this spring and summer. They seem to be everywhere both inside and outside. Apparently since the palmtree landscaping craze they have been imported in the palms and made themselves quite at home here. My question is, does anyone know of any plants or organic deterrents I can use. I think there are plants that will repel ants, can't remember which ones but maybe some that will repel the scorpion also. I have my little veggie patch but even more important are our 2 Akita dogs (our children) my male has been stung twice now. I'm extra nervous because we have found a few in the house. They are also the only species to climb the walls and hang out. Please..........any thoughts here would be appreciated. DH and I go outside at night with flashlight and determination to kill. NEED HELP ...........
