Plants from DG Friends

Cassopolis, MI(Zone 5a)

I thought it would be fun to share some photos of things that we have received in trades.

I finally decided to start a post here and also in the perennial forum.

So many of my friends have shared plants and seeds with me, that I am excited about showing them off and giving them credit.

I would also love to see everybody else's blooms from all the trading that has taken place on DG.

This is a coral colored peony poppy that came from weezengreen.

I am absolutely in love with the color and the size of the flowers.

I have had 2 people walking by ask where they can get one.

I told them both I should have seeds soon, to come back and I would be glad to share some of the bounty from an item that was so generously shared with me.

You can tell by the photo how much it stands out from everything else.

Thanks again weezingreen!

I was hoping some others would add some photos but I will put in a couple more poppies that I received last fall as seed from Weezin
I am in love with all of them and am thrilled with all of the gorgeous blooms!
This is a red tulip poppy, the red is incredible! The plant itself is only about 2 feet high not nearly as large as some of the other ones that are getting 5 and 6 feet tall. I put it too far back and it is not able to be seen as well as some of the others.
Next year it goes on an outside edge!

This is a pink shirley poppy which is absolutely a wonderful color of pink.
These are only about 16 to 18 inches high so they could fit in a lot of different places!
Forgot to mention that these seeds also came from Weezingreen!
She certainly has filled my garden with a lot of beauty!

These are from RU friends! How tall does it get before it starts blooming?

Just about all these plants are from RU and showing new growth - yippee! I'm digging a new iris/daylily bed that they will go in. The cart is from a pawn shop -I just loved it so DH went back and bought it for me. It's supposed to be out front with the wave petunias in it.

I haven't grown nicotiana before but I think its supposed to get pretty tall.

Hope somebody that knows more will give you a more accurate answer
Thanks everybody for sharing.

Have a couple more to add when the rain stops!

Nicotaina can get up to over 4 ft. tall. That is Nicotaina Alata and Sylvestis can get that tall. Although, with it in pot, it shouldn't get that tall. Should be putting on blooms anytime now. There are shorter varieties.

Oh, thanks, Debby! It's grown since I took that last week so maybe soon I'll get buds on!
