Actinidia arguta (hardy kiwi)

I am strongly looking in to adding this plant to one of my gardens. I did a search and found only one thread from 2001. Anybody with any recent experience with this vine?

Where in IL is Smithton - down southern IL? I'm in
Champaign-Urbana (bottom half of Z5) so we likely have
similar conditions.

I put in 5 arguta last year and two this year. Three of the
plants I put in last year were eaten down to the ground by
something (probably bunnies) but two of those came back this
year. All of them are doing pretty well. They are pretty
aggressive growers. One has some yellowing of the leaves,
which has me a bit worried, but it seems to be growing well.

I got two A. kolomikta this year. The female drowned when we had 10 inches of rain, but the male is doing great, putting out lots of leaves. It is small so far but looks vigorous. I hope it will do okay in MI winter.
