CLOSED: Big Bug ID please

I have never seen this one,he was sucking on a Nana leaf.

It's a grapevine beetle, I guess they like nanners too ;)

Hey! do you call them June bugs, we call them Maybugs...

Actually, here in Texas we have Maybugs and June Bugs. The are beetles that look real similar, but come out at different times of course - hence their names.

The May Bugs are kind of a newer thing around here. I always knew June Bugs, but a couple years ago I noticed the June Bugs were out in May. Soon after there was an article in the paper about how it was not really early June beatles (Phyllophaga crinita) but May Beatles (Phyllophaga congrua). A completely different species, which was having a banner year.
