When you have some meat juices left from thawing meat mix it with garlic powder, tabasco sauce(or just really hot peppers ground fine)and a little water. Sprinkle it on and around the plants or the edges of the bed. Mostly on the plants at first. Repeat every few day and especially after a good rain. Rabbits are repelled by the smell of blood and if they cross that line they certainly do NOT like the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. We are doing this at the cafe' where my bosses had a bad time with bunnies in the raised tomato beds. No more lost plants. Not even a nibble lately.
Rabbit problems? Try this remedy.
I have heard about using the hot peppers and garlic before but never the meat juices. If you spray this stuff on the plants, wouldnt you need to strain the solid stuff out of it so the liquid would go thru the sprayer? Just a thought. Have a good day, Robbie
