i got impatient on waiting for the pods on my blue flags to pop, so i decided to.. well.. hack into one to see if they were doing anything at all
well.. here's a pic :)
these are obviously not ripe yet, and i'm going to continue waiting for the rest of them to pop..

i just needed to know for sure that these ugly pods that have been sitting out there for months are actually doing something other than beind hideous :)
now i know, there are actually seeds in there.. so i'm ok with leaving the rest of them alone.......for a little while longer, atleast ;)

Murder!
Just kidding. Our weather ruined our Iris show, but I'm still keeping
my fingers crossed. A few yellow, a few purple and that's about it, and
we have tons of Iris.
*pout*
OH NO!! THE GORE!!
How can we take it
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
oops sorry carried away
Wuvie, Are you talking about the cAIS show last weekend?
Hope not.
inanda
Oh, I'm sorry, Inanda, by 'show' I meant our own Iris blooming here at the
house.
Every year I add more Iris, so this should have been the biggest
showing, or blooming period for us ever, but the weather ruined it all.
I had gigantic whites frozen solid with buds, never to be seen again.
Well, okay, next year, but what an eternity! LOL
:-)
LOL! Glad to know I'm not the only super-impatient person on here, lol. You feel better after you dissect it, though, don't you?
Wuvie, oh no! I feel your pain! Only one tiny little iris survived the borers, for me. I really hope it blooms this year, so I 'll know what it is, but I doubt it. It's too tiny. :(
