Spybot/Pug-ins now what???

I have these downloaded-how do I get them on desktop for quite checks? How do I use these? When I want to make a check-it just wants to install & they are already installed in my document folder. If I can't work these right-how can I remove spybot & pug-ins? I wish I never installed them-when you don't know what you are doing-it's best to leave well enough along-that's what I have always heard.I feel like I got myself in some quick sand :(
Also,can I use MailWasher on hotmail?
Appreciate any help-when it comes to any thing about computers-I'm lost.
