Very cheap sweatbands

Most of us need or wish we could afford good reuseable sweat bands in the heat of the summer. I have found that old socks make good ones. Depending on the length of the sock you can either just pin the ends together to fit your head, sew them together, add elastic to make it fit, or just tie a knee high nylon around your head and push the old sock up under it on your forehead. Cheap, reuseable, and a real attention getter if someone sees you wearing one. Thin cheap washclothes on the forehead work well too. The knee high is stretchy enough to go over the other fabric and will hold it in place.
