My mother in law is having a terrible time with moles in her yard. Any home remedies that really work?
She had the county come out and they said nothing could be done and she is walking around stepping in voids all over the place.
Any advice or help to rid them welcome!
Moles?
If you urinate in the holes this chases them off they are territorial .We have not had one in two years since husband started this. Sounds weird but really works, also works for gophers.
LOL If I tell my boy to go pee outside he will be tickled pink. LOL I can just see it now. It is definatly worth a try.
VEE, your husband sure is a good sport, LOL.
HAIGER, A Mini Dachshund (or two) is worth their weight in gold (or moles). My Doxies cleared my acre yard in about three months after we moved here, and so far none have been brave enough to return.
Thanks for the tips; but MIL is 81 and a widow and can't see her peeing in the holes and I can tell you she isn't ready for a puppy either. But I will pass the info too her, thanks!
Anything that makes noise will help. So will castor beans. You can grind the beans in a blender and pour the water on the yard. The soil will pick up the scent which they don't like. They don't like garlic either so I keep it growing all over the yarden.
Dog (especially terriers), cats, and traps are the only effective means of controlling moles. All the other home remedies are old wive's tales.
She is gonna try the urine test and see if that works. Said she will pour it in though LOL!
Let me know if it works for her. It sure works for us no moles in 2 yrs. Thankyou Carol
wow i hope urinating in holes works!! my husband will not be peeing inside for a long time. those varments are driving me crazy!!!!
LOL to cheryl11

It is still working for us, no moles in almost a year.
Ruth hasn't had any more moles either since John has been taking care of business!
Great, did she find someone to go in her yard?
