Crucifix Orchid

Bradenton, FL(Zone 9b)

I saw one of these grown in a botanical garden in zone 9b...in full sun. They were gorgeous...but i cannot find anything about them in the database. They were about 2-3' tall and spread about 5' wide (not sure how many plants there were in this planting). They were grown in full sun. The flowers were about 1" wide with yellow orange leaves and yellow center...tons of flowers everywhere.

Does anyone know the botanical name for this plant? And, any sources for buying this plant? I cant find it online anywhere.

According to this page http://www.canadianorchidcongress.ca/bot-a-h.html , it's Epidendrum radicans.

Thanks....thats it. And since I now know the name, I was even able to find a place online to buy them (luckily one place is only 5 miles away!)

Various hybrids using radicans are quitecommon. You should have no trouble finding some - probably locally.
