My great uncle was from Boston, At the time he met my Aunt he was a traveling Anvil Salesman. My great Aunt courted him and convinced to move to Maine.
He farmed in a 3 piece suit and tie, Localy he was known as the Boston City Slicker.
In the early 1900's he purchased one of those new Fords with the rumble seat.
On the way to town he noticed a couple neighborhood boys walking to town and gave them a ride in the rumble seat.
They chatted a little about the car, the one of the boys spoke up and said
"Hey Mr City slicker, how do you like you new manure spreader?"
My Great Uncle said "Dunno this is my first load"
