Climbing Hydrangea/Japanese Hydrangea

Are "climbing hydrangea" and "japanges hydrangea" the same or two different plants?

anastatia, It depends on which climbing hydrangea you're talking about.

Here are the PDB entries for "climbing hydrangea": http://plantsdatabase.com/search.php?search_text=climbing+hydrangea&submit=Search - you'll note that Schizophragma hydrangeoides is also known as Japanese Climbing Hydrangea.

I'm hopeful we'll be able to get some additional photos in the PDB this summer, so if anyone has Schizophgrama hydrangeoides, Decumaria barbara or Pileostegia viburnoides...please share ;o)
