Neat Idea for Growing Morning Glories

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

and Moonflower vines. (found this trick in the book "Trowel & Error")

Since they don't particularly like transplanting, it says to oil the inside of brown paper lunch bags with canola oil and allow to air dry. Then fill them up with soil and plant your seeds. You can then plant the whole bag in the soil when the time comes, and the bags will deteriorate as the roots grow, even outside of the bag.

Too late for me to try this, this year, but will definitely give it a try next year.

Great idea, Karrie! I'll have to try that next year, also. Actually, I just remembered that I have some more MG seeds soaking and are ready to be planted. I'll try a few in the paper bags and let you know how it goes.
