Any Ladybug experts out there?

I think my research leads me to be ladybug (or ladybird beetle) larva........

This of the larva before pupating.

And here's a collection of them in various stages......

These are attached to the leaves of my honeysuckle bush, zinnias, gaillardia, rudbeckia and even buddleia. At first I thought I had some evil infestation, but after googling for a half hour or so I think they are ladybugs. Anyone know definitively?

One last one close-up and a little out of focus.

The photos after the first show various stages of changing from the larva to the adult. The empty shells will be left behind.

Thanks George....I was hoping that my research was correct as I left them and was hoping I wasn't about to be infested with some flower or leaf eating monster. Do you know how long they are in the pupa stage?

No I don't. My knowledge is simply from observing them in my yard. Elsewhere on Dave's Garden there has been talk about an asian lady bug that comes in the house for the winter and is quite a pest. I think that they look a bit different.
