Bougainvillea Rooting?

Colorado Springs, CO(Zone 6a)

Does anyone have a tried and true method of rooting these? I am home for a week, and my mom has a crazy out of control one that I'd like to cut back for her and root some to give away/trade. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Hi,
this link is to another post that I replied to & I am too lazy to retype it. :)

one thing I did not mention on that post was how we did the cuttings. We cut ours about 4 inches (or at least 3 nodes) & stripped all the leaves except a few on the top of the cutting, and then stuck them in so that at least 1, sometimes 2, leaf nodes were below the surface.

Glad to help, Dee. If you can figure out a way to transplant them without losing them all, let me know. :)

Thank you Donna! That thread helped. I took about 12 cuttings this morning and took off most of the leaves and put them in water by a window. We shall see how it goes.
