Any luck with new varieties of fast growing wisteria?

Orrville, OH(Zone 6a)

I have a really old one that is leafing out now. Its been braided into a tree form with its trunk being 4 shoots each 1 1/2 inch in diameter. Its probably 10 years old, but no flowers. And I've shocked it, by cutting it way back, digging around the roots, and adding superphosphate last fall. Any ideas of getting one that really blooms fast?

decide you hate it and want it to die It will flourish atleast that is what happens to me here LOl,and if i love something and really want it to grow and bloom it won't or my Dh cuts it down with the weed eater.

You are right. I should just give a good weed wacking and see what happens. Its a chinese, but probably from seed versus, grafted or propagated. I hear seed plants, don't always flower. BUT, I did go out and buy another Chinese for $25 and its blooming profusely, so If all goes well with planting etc. IT'll bloom forever now.
