CROWN ROT?

I have 2 daylilies that have mushy crowns, so I am suspecting crown rot. The question I have is, should I do anything with them(like dig them up and check for bugs) if they are getting new fans coming from the root system. The newer fans are a couple of inches away from the plant. Should I just leave them alone and hope for the best?
