flat panel monitor

I bought a flat panel and everything looks ok, except the text is blurry when you scroll either left to right or up and down. The support I've got from emachines had me do everthing under the sun including using my restore cd. Just thought someone here might know what to do. I hate to take it back to the best buy but if that's my only option left I guess I will.
