Aren't we all just seeds?

Waterville, KS

I was thinking about a posting where a lady was being very hard on herself, probably unjustly and I felt very bad for her. We often come down hard on ourselves because of limitations and judgments that others make about us and often these criticisms are not honest or valid. They can be a reflection of the judgers jealousy, own insecurity, anger at their world and they have simply misdirected their anger at the wrong person, perhaps because they sense the vulnerability of the target?.

Aren't we all just like plant seeds? In a perfect world we would be simply descend into the earth that our mother plant had thrived in, of genetically correct origin, under ideal weather and water conditions, to sprout, as we were meant to do and continue on to produce stronger, heartier stocks for the future. However; it is the way of the world that conditions are not always ideal..........sometimes we get scattered to the wind and perhaps land on inhospitable soil, under diverse conditions. Yet we must take advantage of what is available to us, in our given conditions and strive to be all that we can be. Reach for the sun, adjust to our situations and shine on, regardless. Perhaps the apple tree criticizes the Magnolia for its show-offy blossoms? The poplar the strength of the mighty oak? We are all exactly who we were meant to be and in the exact spot that the wind has cast us to become all that we are.........Magnolias in our own right ! Shine on !!!
