Jasminium Polyanthum

Irving (Dallas area), TX(Zone 8a)

I bought some of this last year from Home Depot after it finished flowering (in late spring). The tag said it was hardy here, and I did some research; it seemed that I was at the edge of its hardiness zone, so I decided to risk it. It grew like crazy and I loved the foliage, but it died to the ground in the winter. It has come up again, but I'm not sure that it will have time to flower, so I’ve moved it to a more protected location. My question is do you think it will make it through the winter? Is there anyone near my zone that has it? Thanks.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Paulwhest, if it just came back from dying back then it should be all right in a sheltered spot. It shouldn't get subjected to temperatures below 40 degrees F. It blooms in winter and has finished blooming here. It needs a seasonal 18-degree drop in temperature to bloom. Here is a great web site for more information: http://www.mtholyoke.edu/offices/botan/feat_plant/jasminum/jas.html
