Rare white form of the Pink Lady's Slipper Orchid

Raleigh, NC(Zone 8b)

Greetings!

I was on a orchid hunting fieldtrip yesterday and discovered a white flowered form of the Pink Lady Slipper. This is the first time I've ever seen one in the wild and was very excited to find it. Along with the one white blooming plant we saw ~80 other pink ones in bloom. I wanted to share this discovery her on Dave's Garden. Has anyone else ever seen a white one? I will post the other pics later today.

That is gorgeous! I've never seen a white one, but when I was little, my grandmother took us to see the pinks in the wood down the back road. I'm afraid most of them are probably under I-86 now. Progress.

Very pretty!
