Poll: best scented zone 5/6 vines???

Orrville, OH(Zone 6a)

I like sweet autumn clematis, but that is all I know of.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

I always plant a lot of sweetpeas. They are so pretty and such a lovely fragrance, but of course are annual. right now I can't think of any other hardy to zone 5 or6 fragrant vines. Donna

erie, PA(Zone 5a)

I live in Erie, Pa. zone 5 and have found Japanese Honeysuckle to be fragrant, winter hardy, colorful and fast growing. I have 2 that I planted 2 years ago from cuttings from a friend and they bloomed the first year. They are already putting out leaves now, should bloom about mid May to late June depending on the weather here.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8a)

My first choice would be the white Wisteria(delicious fragrance), and then the Lonicera "Belgica" and "Serotina" E.

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

Wisteria of any type is heavenly....although I like jasmines too.

Unless you are only looking for perennials, don't forget the hyacinth bean vines (Lablab/Dolchios lablab). They have a wonderful scent and interesting flowers and leaves as well.

Columbus, OH(Zone 6a)

Don't forget Chocolate vine (Akebia quinata). They have a very nice scent, and are great at covering the chainlink.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

id vote for honeysuckle!

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)
