Black-eyed Susan vines and spiders

Medina, OH(Zone 6b)

I love Black-eyed Susan vines and would love to plant some by my front door, but have a terrible fear of spiders. Can anyone tell me if these vines are a haven for spiders as a lot of vining plants are?

Hmm... I haven't noticed any spiders around mine. I spose spiders might like hiding out in any type plant where it thinks it could catch a meal. I don't think it will attract them more than anything else.

Grew it last year and never noticed anything except butterflies around them.

I wonder how you have come to understand that spiders' haven is this particular plant! Except probably hot places, spiders make their homes, esp. in places where there is not much disturbance. I don't think they are too selective with regard to plant species.

I once had Morning Glory vines that were infested with large spiders, and did not want to repeat this experience. I am happy to hear that Black-Eyed Susans do not seem to have this problem. I will be planting them.
