I found this idea in another forum, and had to try it out. I have started with 10 pots, but plan to add another two rows to make it taller. I just hope it doesn't fall over! I considered glue, or epoxy to hold it together, but I want to re-use the pots when the flowers are gone.... any suggestions?

This is such a great idea, ladyrowan! How cute would it be with trailing plants added?
I'm thinking about how to stabilize it. I'd be inclined to tie the bottom row together--a plywood "collar" seems like a simple way to do that. Then, borrowing from the equally wonderful stacked-container idea posted by Coco (http://davesgarden.com/t/423335/), maybe run threaded rod up from the plywood through each of the three pots in the second row. I've dummied up a drawing--any use at all?
Wow! Thanks for the sketch! I may not be able to do that until I have all the pots I plan on using, but I'll definately have to try this out.
