Hi, container lovers!
My container flowers are beginning to bloom .
My April containers
Lovely, as always!
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful Tomtom. I've been waiting for your pics. =-)
Beautiful! I love the mix of colors
Dixiechick
tomtom- they look great.
They look so serene. Thank you Tomtom, I was hoping you'd let us see your creations.
Now I'm off to look at your last year beauties.

-heather

Thank you,darius,karen_nyc,frogsrus,dixiechick,HERBIE43,LIZ
nijoli and broots, for having a look at my pics and giving tme encoraging words.I'm so grateful.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Liz, I really appreciate your digging out my old topics.
Let's hope we'll be able to enjoy garadining all though this season, too.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
nijoli, the white Primla and blue Heliophila in the second pic are grown from seeds I harvested.
The two violas below the tulips are store-bought.
Nothing is more enjoyable than growing plants from seeds ,I think.
This Capmanula patula is grown from seeds too.
They all look so beautiful and I love the containers you used.
So pretty...
Tomtom
I love the pictures-everything looks so lush and beautiful. I have never viewed your other pics, but now I can look forward to that too. Thank you for sharing your pictures, and please keep others posted for all of us to be inspired by.
WOW!!! Tomtom, what are the containers that look like chimney pots?......they are exquisite and so are the blooms...you definittely have a green thumb! Elaine.....hpy gdning!
Beautiful! What is the blue flower falling over the edge of the pot?
Not quite warm enough here for anything much beyond a few tulips and miniature daffs. I'll post when the time comes (after the snow and ice!).
Very lovely! Thank you for the pictures! Gretchen
A feast for the eyes! or as we now say, EYE CANDY! Anyway, it is a great way to start the day, to come to DG and see such pretty, serene sights. Thanks, TomTom
Lovely Tom-Tom..you inspire us..
Hi,Dravencat,groovytee ,LGW728,Roselaine ,revclaus,
Kaufmann ,woodspirit1 and Starzz !
I'm so happy you all love the pics ,thank you.
_____________****__________________
Dravencat and Roselaine, the chimney pot look-alikes are actually some covers used in old-style ceramic potteries.
I reuse them as containers since they have big holes--
they're pretty heavy,though.
I admire their rustic charm. They vary in size and when turned upside down you can use them as chairs and those on which to place other containers.
In the third picture C.patula is placed on one. In the second pic two of these are combined.

revclaus, the blue flower is Heliophila longifolia.
It's one of those I love very much. Looking eagerly forward to taking a look at your containers.
The time'll surely come Sooooon!
As always, your pictures are lovely. I agree with Starzz, you continue to inspire us with your use of color, design and plants. Thank you for sharing.
Gorgeous! Where did you get the seed for the heliophylla originally? I think I've seen it in T&M. How easy is it to grow?
I love your pots and plants and everything!!!! I'm planting the seeds you send me today, sure hope they do as well as yours do!! Could you please stand, sit, half hide behind (if you're shy) some of your beautiful pots? I'd love to put a face to the grower of those pretty flowers! :)
kooger, I second that motion!
Tomtom, just absolutely beautiful as usual.
nathalyn,hummer-nuts,thanks so much for taking a look at my pics.
-------------------------------------------------
dawnsharon2001,yes,I first bought the seeds of Heliophylla
from T&M,and I've since harvested the seeds.
H.is not hard to the cold and you need protection when you
sow it in the fall. But apart from it,it is easy to grow.
Just have a try,I insist.
-----------------------------------------------
kooger,I do wish you success.
Come and see only things beautiful here.:)
------------------------------------------------
darius,I 'm about as young as you.:)
So........
TomTom, did you see the potential hanging container I'm working on? I'd love some suggestions of what to put in it! I hope to get the moss in today, and holes for hooks, then post a photo of it ready to plant.

Beautiful as usual, TomTom!
darius, yes, I saw your topic with much interest.
So intriguing shape and color !
Never seen a roof tarbine like this in Japan.
How wide across is it ?
Now you've already planted what you think most suitable there,I'm just looking forward to the development of your hanging container !
----------------------------------------------
back2back, thank you for your encouraging words.
beautiful, but I don't see you peeking through the flowers anywhere!! :)
I have started seeing stock around much more this year-- what is its history, do you know? I love it, and bought lots of it, and it has proved to take very little effort to be beautiful.
I love your containers. I have started combining a lot more in my containers this year, because of this thread.
And on a different note, I traveled to Japan about 3 years ago- and stayed in the Chiba area for about 3 weeks with a family through an exchange program. I so enjoyed Japan- and hope to go back one day. Its such a gorgeous country. Going to several gardens there is part of what started my fascination with plants.
Very nice Tomtom! Thx for sharing your ideas. I've learned so much here in just a little over a month. I'm hooked for life!
Dixiechick
Tomtom - I planted your seeds and they came up in 2 days!!! How soon do you transplant them? The campanula isn't up yet, just the 2 helios. I was so thrilled to see them up - couldn't believe they would germinate so fast. Any advice is greatly appreciated!! Laura
Tomtom- In your last photo, the centranthus (which I assume is the grass like plant) looks as if it has a serrated edge or something unusual about the edge. It may just be that my computer is not getting a clear-enough picture when I enlarge it, but I was hoping you could tell me if it does have this unusual quality to the leaves. Thanks for posting your lovely pictures-they are an inspiration to all of us. Linda
Beautiful !
Hi 、art_n_garden、
yes, stock is so easy to grow. Its clear color and sweet scent make it one of the most desirable flowers in early spring ,I think.
Every autumn I sow the seeds.

So nice to hear my thread is of some use to you in combining pots. I almost always walk around with my pots in my hands to make the best combinations.
When they 're well combined, they look more impressive .
I'm glad you enjoyed Japan, the coutry side is now splendid.
Come again one of these days.
-----------------------------------------
Thank you, dixiechick, for viewing my photos.
The summer here is too muggy for flowers, too,
and my containers are limited to the springtime.
I hope you'll visit me again,though.
LGW728,you must have the eyes of a hawk !!
This (a friend of mine shared two)is completely different
from Centranthus ruber in leaf-shape.
It is the annual type, and has captured me with its beauty
and easiness in growing.
I 'm hoping to harvest the seeds.Here's a close-up of
its leaves for you.

Thank you, scooterbug, for taking a look at my photos.
