Clematis jackmanii Germination question?

Hi all,
I was given seeds to Clematis jackmanii and was wondering if anybody had ever started this from seed? I couldn't find anything on the internet and would really like to try and start these, it has such a lovely flower. Any help at all would be appriciated.
