Just wanted to let you all know that I purchases several colors of Leather Dyes at the regular Shoe Repair Shop to stain gourds.. at 4.50 apiece. Which is what they sell them for when you order them, only you save on shipping and have them sooner. You all probably already knew that, but if you didn't, I just thought someone may find it interesting.

I like staining and burning the gourds, rather than painting, probably because I am so lousy at painting..

My DD uses the leather dye a lot...works great on gourds. We get it at the Tandy Leather shop in Tucson. Jo
