Louisiana Iris

Salem, KY(Zone 7b)

Hi, I am new to DG and love all the forums. I was wondering if anyone knows of a website with good prices on Louisiana Iris? I have a couple and would love to start collecting them. TIA

I just got started with LA irises myself ... I bought some from Iowa Daylily Patch's half price sale last fall. He may have some left

Call him on the phone, to check availability. Good luck!

Thanks Cheri,
There are quite a few left and those are the cheapest I have found so far.

Glad to help. =)

My Gerry Marsteller just bloomed it's first bloom. Beautiful! Professor Jim & Winters Encore both have nice fat buds. But Cajun Sunrise is holding out on me. =(

Hi Dirt-Bunny,

Within the last few years I've begun to grow Louisiana irises too. With so many different ones out there, sometimes I feel like a kid in a candy store. Here are a couple of links to websites you may want to check out.

http://www.zydecoirises.com/IndexPage/index.htm

For Schreiners - look under beardless, then to water iris -( if this link doesn't directly take you to the Louisiana's ( also known as water iris))

Have fun looking........I hope this helps.
