This is Kalanchoe carnea 'Modoc', grows to about 3' tall and as wide. Leaves remind me of Swedish Ivy but thicker. It's about 15" tall now and I may put it in the ground this year, but will have to dig it in the fall because it is frost sensitive. Can take shade, but has beautiful pink flowers if kept in the sun.
A really different Kalanchoe
Nice plant. Be sure to show us a picture when it blooms.
i leave mine in the ground all yr. in winter i cover with a sheet and have had no problems they are flowering like crazy.
they are on the north side against my house and under a overhang. but when we get frost it does frost they have been living there for yrs.
Why is it different? Norma
I should be in flower now, most all Kalanchoe are. Be sure to send the pictures. I wonder which one the Huntington will introduce this year? Is this must be a hybrid. I wonder who are the parents? Do you have any species? Norma
