Want true identity of Lace Handkerchief Iris from Springhill

Springhill catalog has this iris pictured on page 21 of their spring catalog. It is listed as Iris tectorum variegata in the catalog. However when I look up that culivar on Iris pages it doesn't look much like the picture. I bought this iris once several years ago but lost it in the '93 heavy rains. It was just like the picture & description in the catalog. Knowing Springhill's bad reputation nowdays I am reluctant to spend that kind of money for 3 rhizomes that may be dead when they get here. Does anyone know the true identity of the pictured iris and where I can purchase or trade for it? Thanks for any help you can give me.

After much research online last night I think I have found that it is really Iris japonica. It most nearly matches the pictures in the catalogs.
