Kalanchoe in flower

Valley Village, CA

This one has large and unusual flowers. Kalanchoe gastonis-bonnieri. The leaves are long and gray, (farinose-pruinose )with brown, maroon stripes horizontally across the leaves, it usually forms the offsets at the tips of the leaves, which then hang down, the next baby's do the same, so often you will see hanging down several sets of new clumps of plants on one leaf. Yes, this plant should be hung very high in the greenhouse. Norma

Mine is in flower with no leaves, just two stems with flowers, I sure wish I had my camera now. The caps of the flower are swollen, and lite apple green, the corella is light pink, just the flower not including its stem is 2" by measurement. The whole plant is different. I did take off three babies for insurance. I hope I painted a good picture.

This is my first flowering of this plant. It's still quite small the stem is 3.5 inches long and several years old. It has stem rings approx. every 1/2 " Hugs, all, Norma
