GagalinFL - Gilbert H. Wild and Son catalog lists these for southern gardens - Big Red Boomer Sooner, Bowl of Beauty, Carol, Kansas and Duchess de Nemours. It adds -please note that you must still have some freezing temperature to get bud set! Good Luck!

I am new to peonies and am happy to see this forum here. I just got my only this past fall. Mine is coming up and is up about 4-5 inches now. I hope to see it bloom this year but i know it may not since it has been moved.
What types of peonies should i look for for zone 7 here in Alabama? I love these plants and look forward to planting more. Robbie

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

I posted the types that Gilbert H. Wild and Son recommend above. I really don't know any more about growing them in southern regions. sorry! :)

Looking forward to the exchange of info on this forum. I had a great peony year last year - all 5 of my tree peonies had blooms and most of the herbaceous ones did well too. Keeping my fingers crossed for a repeat show this year. This is one plant that is definitely worth making room for in the garden!!

is anything happening re: a peony co-op? not seed, but lots of eyes and roots?

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)
