I learned this year to nick Brug seeds before soaking them, to encourage earlier germination. I noticed that Nasturtium seeds look similar to the Brug seeds (large, hard - kinda the size and shape of a garbanza bean) and wondered if any of you have nicked these prior to germinating them. I'd hate to ruin a whole packet of them, but since I sow the seeds outdoors would like to encourage earlier germination, as they took about 2 weeks to germinate for me last year. Any suggestions?
Nasturtium Seed Question
Karrie, I use a nail file to file down the hard shell on one end of each Nasturtium seed prior to soaking. Mine usually germinate in 3-4 days. Nat
