Aloe Vera

Valley Village, CA

Here I go again, sticking my nose in, perhaps where it isn't wanted. Look in Guide to the Aloes of South Africa, by Frits van Oudtshoorn Ben-Erik Van Wyk/Gideon Smith. Produced by National Botanical Instute of Africa. Could someone please post a picture of Aloe vera with the flower inflorence. Honest folks I not tying to make trouble, but the question was asked. Okay I scanned the picture but couldn't figure out how to attach it to the forum, so mailed it off the Dave. Don't know if he has received it. I could mail it off to one of you, if I had a email address.
The picture is out of the Reynold book, on page 13 It shows yellow flowers, I have seen it with orange flowers as well. It looks as if they lumped the two clones into one species. If the group would email me lessons on how to attach pictures I would be glad to do so, I can attach to letters, but not to the forum, don't know how. Norma

Henry, right on, does that look anything like the infl. posted here on this forum, I think not. I have the pictures, I know what it looks like that is the reason I was not agreeing with the rest of you, I just wanted the person that inquired to see a picture of the plant with flowers, Henry thank you so much, you are a good sport.
Now if you could tell me how to get my picture onto the forum, I would will not pester you again. I think my next door neighbor's child 5 yrs old could help me. haha

Something about the picture that shows it in yellow, not the color, about the plant and infl. The shape is not right, the leaves are too long, and so is the infl. Where do you live that could be the problem? Norma

In all my books Aloe vera has yellow flowers. I can't find any mention of orange. If you have the orange flowered clone, please send me a cutting in trade. Thanks, Norma
