baby' breath

Greenville, OH(Zone 5a)

I need some help growing baby's breath. I have tried starting it indoors and outside, but I have a very low germination rate. Is there some trick to getting them to sprout? I do grow many other varieties of flowers for the garden with good sucess, but baby's breath doesn't do well.

Gosh 8fishhead... I grew some last year, and they were amazing! I wonder why yours didnt do well. I planted mine directly outside, in full sun, no shade at all. I actually only watered them every once in awhile. I fertilized them MAYBE 2 times, and had them blooming up until mid Oct.
Did you only try them once? Could you have maybe gotten an older batch, that may have caused the low germination rate? I would be happy to send you some of mine that were havested last fall. LMK

I tried them a couple of times. They were in a sunny spot and we had lots of rain. Oh well, I will just have to try again this year.
