Okay, she's 17 years old, a Math Whiz (4.0), a Theatre kid, a former cheerleader & has blonde hair to her waist.
This morning she woke me up with :
"Mom these new contacts don't work--everything is blurry!"
"Was everything blurry yesterday? Are they old?"
"I just put in new ones, and everything is still blurry!"
I'll never be able to drive. I won't be able to see the board in school! Help!!!"
"Well, I'll call the doctor & get you an appointment. Open another pair in case those are defective. Maybe your eyes have changed again. Where are your glasses? I'll drive you to school."
"My glasses are blurry tooo! (whine--teenage tragedy".
I threw on my clothes & said "Let's go!"
Silence. "Mom I can see okay now...."
"Are you sure? What's going on?"
She replied sheepishly---"Mom, I put my new contacts in On TOP of the old ones. That's why they were blurry. I found out when I removed them. I WAS WEARING TWO CONTACTS IN EACH EYE!"
Such is a day in my life. Is it any wonder my hair is going grey?
