Pictures distorted

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I have a 1 yr old Dell computer with a Dell flat screen moniter.
The past week when I view pictures in a site they are distorted, color is not right and I can see squares that seem to be in all the pictures.
The only thing I have done differently that I can think of is to download Total Access 2004 that my ISP (Earthlink) offered.
It has a spam/pop-up blocker and is supposed to surf 5 times faster.
I'm including a picture in which you can see the squares in the flower.
Anyone have a clue what the problem might be. I'm stumped.
Hmm, edited to say I wonder if you can see the squares in the picture or if it is only seen by me.
