Into day two of the calendar year. Getting on the scale this morning was devastating - up another two pounds. Unreal - but, life goes on. Thankfully these quickly gained pounds should shed as quickly.

For those who are interested, there is another diet challenge starting tomorrow. This is a great way to jump start your efforts, set some goals and have fellow dieters to commiserate with our gloat to! Hopefully the latter.

The way we've done it in the past, people specify a goal over the next three months (13 weeks) - pounds lost, inches, or something quantifiable. You do not disclose your weight - only what you want to lose.

Each Saturday, participants post their progress and someone will keep track of everyone's progress as a percentage of goal. Note - this collaboration doesn't exclude those not in the challenge - everyone is encouraged to post with ideas, issues, suggestions, problems. It's just a way to hopefully stay focused and achieve some goals.

Does anyone have anything else to add on the challenge topic?

I'm truly dreading having to write down my weight tomorrow, but that time will come - fortunately, this recently gained weight should come off very quickly, so meeting this challenge goal should be easy. Subsequent challenges will the be the tough ones.
