looking for mitten directions

i was going to buy some mittens at the local department store that I thought were really cute. They were 13.99 on sale at 50 % off , so they were 7 dollars a pair. Then i thought 'what am i doing !'.
They looked knitted which i do not have much experience at but do know the basic knitting stiches.
anyone have simple adult mitten patterns for crocheting or knitting?
I knw this is a real simple thing i could find pretty easily.
