Want a shed on a slope---how do I level the ground?

Grand Prairie, TX(Zone 7b)

This is my fall/winter project this year. I don't want a concrete floor. I'm thinking more in the lines of a pea gravel floor. My backyard has a slope. What do I need to do to level this? The shed will be 9x12. Thanks for all your help! I'm guessing that I will need a bed of sand to put the gravel on. Can I just use those retaining wall bricks to level and fill in with the sand and then the pea gravel?
