Anybody for an international trade
Cristina, some time ago, I mailed you 3 different types of Buttefly Weed (Asclepias), labelled the mailer "seeds" and it came back to me, opened with the seeds still in there. If you email me your snail mail address (it got ripped by the Postal Service), I will re-send them but this time, I will call them clothing buttons!!!! LOL. Let me know & thanks. Buttoneer
you got mail.
Buttoneer, Yes I'd lost some letters.
Any mail with the "seeds" or similar declaration on the green slip is been opened and sent back
Thanks for letting me know.
I'll mail you
Cristina
I'd love to trade for some of your lillium or other perrenials.... what are you looking for Cristina?
Melissa
Melissa I just send the last oriental lilies trade that I had.
I'm sorry, it will have to be for next year if I get any seed pods.
I do have few perennials available.
Cristina
Howdy all, I would love to start trading internationally. Look at my trading list, and let me know if I have anything that interest anyone of you. Im new at this, so dont have much to choose from.. Hopefully have something you guys like.
leeann6 you do have some nice plants. Internationally you cannot trade plants. Only seeds and these have to be packed very carefully.
Cristina
cristina, I am very interested in some of your Chilean seeds that are species from genera found also here in Australia and forming the Gondwana link between out continents. I am particularly interested in:
Austrocedrus chilensis, Chilean cedar
Drimys winteri, Winter's Bark
Eucryphia cordifolia,Ulmo ( special trades only)
Nothofagus dombeyi, Southern Beech, Coigue
Nothofagus obliqua, Chilean Oak
Are there any species in my trade list that you would be willing to trade for,
Hi kennedyh, How is Oz?
I'll have a look at your list and I'll let you know.
When all was joined as Gondwanaland, seeds scattered in all directions. It is so and I find here many trees that I thought were true blue aussies, but there is a chilean version of those trees here as well. Uncanny eh?
G'day Cristina,
Yep it's me, been trying to send you an email, your email box is full, please get back to me whenever you can because I wanna buy some Schinus molle seeds from you. the seeds that I got from France turned out to be the wrong variety.
Nigel
Christina. I don't have much of a garden yet Just starting plantings this year. Where I live is hot windy desert. I do have a chilean mesquite tree doing quite well. If you have any native flower or shrub seeds that you would sell, I would be glad to send the $$ and postage. Hopefully in the future I will have seeds and such to share with others. Also just learning about the latin and proper names for items. Please be patient with newbies, we want to learn so much.
Nigel send me your addy. I'm not selling seeds. I do seed trading , in this way I can obtain seeds that I cannot find over here. If you havent got any seed , it's ok.
I did not collect any fresh seeds this year, but I have some from 2003. they should be fine.
faronell I'll mail you.
Terry1948, what kind of grasses do you have?
cristina
Terri1948
Please name your grasses.
I hang my head in shame as I don't know the names of the grasses (I just use the common names such as Quaking Grass, Red Grass and Bunny Tail grass etc)
I think the smaller Quaking Grass is Brizia and I also have a very pretty lavender coloured grass. Most of these are low growing but the taller Quaking Grass grows quite tall but never becomes invasive.
Sorry to be so vague, but I'm very new to growing and collecting grasses.
Terri1948
Think I should let those who don't know, that the great guys at Homeland Security won't let seeds into the US of A. Maybe they think they are mini b----s. or mini WMD.
In any case, call them something else on the customs declaration. That is what I do, and all mine -so far - have arrived safely.
