Calcium

Western, PA(Zone 6a)

Seems as though everyone is taking Calcium to prevent osteoporosis. My doctor says the amount of Vitamin D included with most Calciums pills is not enough. He suggests 400 MG a day.

I have become an expert with this subject, as I can not absorb Vitamin D very well. I have been on a very high dose of Vitamin D recently, with no results. Today I am switching to liquid drops. If this doesn't work; an injection.

Seems as though the calcium will not enter the bone without the help of Vitamin D.

It is important to know if the calcium is actually doing any good. Especially if you have any intestinal problems relating to absorption.
