Today Jan walked me through papermaking via email. I can't thank her enough for her detailed emails of help. As a homeschooling Mom, I took every advantage of this "craft" as an important lesson in the need to recycle, where paper comes from and how fibers are in pulp and holds together things and bond. Also, a lesson in "bonding"..lol...example: mom, what does bond mean? So, boy..did I have a busy lesson day today!
The picture below shows our sheets of paper drying out. We sprinkled Hyssop seeds on the paper and gently rolled a piece of PVC pipe over the paper like a rolling pen to help press them down. Also, another lesson today....harvesting seeds from Hyssop! WAHOO!
