'Southern Belle' Papaver somniferum

Franklin, LA(Zone 9a)

I just became aware of the existence of this poppy. I'm really lusting after some seeds, since it claims to be Louisiana bred, so maybe I could grow it ...

Anyone ever heard of it? Know where I might find seeds?

HELP!!!

The photo looks like a typical papaver somniferum......perhaps someone just gave it "another" name as a marketing tool? Do you have seeds for any of the somniferums? I love them, with this grape one being one of my favorites!

no, i dont have any poppies..
i've had no success in growing them, they just dont like it here for some reason... that's why i got all excited when i found this one mention of this "louisiana bred" poppy
but i have had no success in finding any seeds or any other information about it
btw.. i'm sundry's daughter, the one who actually posted this in the first place, that's why i'm the one commenting on it :)

I have read where you can grow Somniferum Poppies in the South, if you sow them in the fall, they will bloom before it gets too hot in the spring.
