Aphids

Tucson, AZ(Zone 9b)

Can someone tell me how much dish soap to say 1 quart of water I should use to get rid of aphids? I found them on my morning glories and I have a beautiful hibiscus tree next to them that I dread getting aphids on and I am told that hibiscus does not do well with chemicals. I want to be sure not to burn either one. Also after spraying with the dish soap should it be washed off?

LittleShima, I read once that worm castings will repel aphids. At that time, I had aphids on my roses and hibiscus. Since I avoid using chemicals, I decided to try. That was a year ago and I havent seen an aphid since. I do my own vermicomposting, but you can buy them at most nurseries. They are an excellent fertilizer, too.

On a separte note, I was going to seed purple/pink morning glory seeds to you with your Heavenly Blue. I checked today and lots of seed pods, but not ripe yet. I'll send them later so you can get your HB planted. I have another color ready, blue with purple stripes if you want to give those a try. I posted pictures of all three varieties in a forum called Identification if you want to take a look.
