Okay, I sticking my neck way out on this. I am taking a guess. Could it be a Thelocactus . I'm only judging this by the ribs. I have a small cacatus book I am looking it up. Crasulady

I got the name of your plant from the curator of the Huntington Gardens cactus collection. (John Trager) I was way off base. Mammillaria longimamma. He congratulated you on the picture. Known also as Dolichothele. I can look this up as it has a paragraph regarding the second name. Norma
