Right-click/back button mal-foogerty

I declare folks, it used to be I could move my curser to the right of my screen INTO the scroll bar, righ-click to bring up the menu, and access my back button.

For some reason tho, now when I put my curser there a different menu comes up (Scrool here; Top; Bottom; etc).

What have I done? The reason I ask is that sometimes I have to search all over a window to find a 'blank' spot to get my right-click menu to show "Back" (and other choices). This is especially difficult while viewing pics that take up the whole screen.

Is there some way to correct this?
