thunbergia grandiflora

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

Can anyone tell me if this vine is easy to root? I was given some cuttings a few days ago and know nothing about this plant. I have it in a jar of water and it hasn't wilted yet.

Yes, Thunbergia grandiflora will root in water. I sometimes just put it in a 4"pot of soil and water regularly. It will root nicely.

What a beauty, Flicker! I will show mine this pic...
hope it gets the idea of what what a beauty it would be
with blooms.

Catsmeow - I too just received some starts of this, put in a mason jar full of water and added some "weeping willow" cuttings, they are a natural rooting hormone. At any rate I dropped my cuttings in the jar on 9-18, and on 9-28 I had roots, so good luck with yours :)

Hi,
I just put my cuttings in moist vermicullite & they root easily.
